TGIF and all that jazz

Well its friday, yeah it comes every week but every week is special. After some hard ass work good to see the weekend. Might head to hard rock cafe tonight to get to the send off party of a colleague of mine whose going for further studies. Oh yeah if that does not happen may catch a movie. If not rest my ass and go to sleep early

architectural blasphemy.
its funny how people plan structures and then paint them in colors totally against the color scheme of the surroundings or nature. Or probably thats the idea.
melodrama

Think all movies in the drama genre should be half of what they are now. By the time half the movie is over i am asleep. Oh btw the girl in the movie ‘adventureland’ is hot. Its a comedy drama. Need to watch transformers, hangove (again) and now harry porter 6.

listening to def Leppard after a long time the whole album.:) nice

for those who are thinkin this post is really in coherent thats how my mind works. Chaos in motion

Rains….and associated melodrama

Rains have been delayed, predictions and doomsday prophesies said and told.

Its been raining since last night and as predicted trains started going off since morning. Rains continued since morning nothing new. It rains every july and in the same fashion every year. There is nothing new about it.

Have you noticed that people not related to rains meaning, folks who are least affected by the rains are the first to react to rains. I do not know is it 26/7 aftershock or just useless mongering, but all hell has supposedly broken loose when in fact it did not.

Left for home since my workplace told us to go home early

Don’t change your Stance, no Don’t

Filed under: Coming up, Insane Musings, Random, Time, Vox — Tags: , , , — Zack @ 6:31 pm

We were at this thing and someone says, you should not change your stance, never ever budge, if you are right!.

Well truth is relative, so one man’s truth could be just another person’s lies. In the same way you could be right but then tomorrow or the day after you might be proved wrong, in that case wouldn’t you go ahead an change your stance. May be that is construed on being hypocritical and it does sound that way but is not the right thing to do.

You might be so sure that you are right. But there could be someone else who puts in a point that is either better than yours or plain truth (again relative). Sometimes you could be right but there might be another argument that is also the truth in which case you can give in, well this depends on your side

I say be like like the grass, move with the wind. Do not do as the crowd tells you to do, do what is right. Listen to your heart. You might be right, but if your heart tells you the other person or goal is better than yours back off.

Something tells me i totally messed up this post. I wanted to say something, I am not sure this is being conveyed correctly but what the heck.

45 most important things to remember in life…[Forwards]

Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland , Ohio.

"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me.

It is the most-requested column I’ve ever written.".

My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:

1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.

8. It’s OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.

12. It’s OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don’t worry; God never blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It’s never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don’t save! it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words ”In five years, will this matter?"

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn’t do.

35. Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative – dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

42. The best is yet to come.

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up

44. Yield.

45. Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.

Ice Age 3 – Dawn of the Dinosaurs [Review]

I knew this would be a great movie. So this is biased. Am anyway a fan of the series and its ice age, Sid, Manny, Diego. All the ingredients to make an awesome movie.

And yes, the movie kicks ass right from the word go. Not sure where do i start cause its that great.

Well we had gone to watch this 3D but it was houseful so had to watch it in 2D and the loss of one dimension did not dim anything. Yes its a children’s movie but who cares. It is fun.

Sid the Sloth steals the show really from the word go. Am sure if they make a series on Sid, it would be a best seller as well

Diego, Manny always dependable on the laughs with Diego provides some really butt kicking action sequences.

Hate to be a spoiler so you have to watch this on your own, its a stupendous movie just like the earlier series so just go catch it in 3D if you can.

New York!! New York!!

There are many reasons i do not go for a Hindi and i admit that some of them are just very flimsy, but they are my reasons and damm, right they are right in their own way.

Watched New York over the weekend, here is what i thought about it yes it is a little old and this is old but wtf it is my review

The Theatre : Cinemax – Wondermall Thane

No parking, alternative park on the road. No. Got it finally but not issues, no regrets as well.

The Movie Hall – Screen 1

Pretty ok, no issues, there was a crowd, but it seemed ok. Got seats quite soon. So no complaints there as well.

The Movie

Started pretty well, i did not know the plot at all, did not see any reviews, hell i did not even know who all were acting in the movie etc etc.

Neil started off pretty well as a nice little homely nerd, going to an American college, New York State University. The speed looked ok till when i saw the watch and nothing seemed happening, Hai Junoon was playing about every 2 minutes and it started getting depressing as to the reason of making the movie.

Neil then drags thru the movie, a 10 second dialogue take 5 minutes, just like Gabriel Garcia Chapter, long long long, c’mon if you want me to watch a Hindi movie, this was not the movie to start again.

Funny part hereWhen FBI boss talks in English, there are sub titles, when John Abraham talks in English in a small part, there are subtitles, however when Neil and Katrina speak in English there are no subtitles. Found it little weird.

Then suddenly it was interval time. And we were still about 30 minutes in real time. Forget it was already 1.5 hrs in movie time.

Time for popcorn and a big line, and exorbitant prices. Who pays 40 bucks for a water bottle, Are they giving Evian Water? Samosas for 35 bucks, for 2 …like 17 friggin bucks for a samosa, fk.!!!!!!

Anyways post the interval the movie started in the climax scenes, it could have got over in another 45 minutes but the movie lasted another hour. Dialogues slowing down.

In the last scene, Neil takes about 5 minutes to tell the officer where the bomb is to be, ok if you are in a crises situation you would tell that first and now take precious time, but the movie has to last right.

Last scene, John does again a slow, mourning talk. Shit happens, snipers start shooting. The snipers are behind John but bullets hit him in the chest.

Katrina, is standing next to Neil and the officer, but not one of them moves a bit even though in the firing line, talk about confidence.

No information on how John is molded into a terrorist. Katrina says she already knows john is a terrorist, but how.

The kid looks more American than both of them, wonder why i must guess.

Overall the movie is watchable if you don’t bother much into the details and take it at pop corn value. Watch it, Shut it , forget it.

Watchable for one time only

You are arrogant! Who? me!?

Filed under: Vox — Tags: — Zack @ 8:53 am

Havin the impression that a lot of people consider me arrogant. Ok. Now if my friends and dear collegues say that there is a case. They know me since long and would tell me in my face but they would also know the reason why.

There is a saying abt ‘askin for the finger and holding the hand. Some people do that. This happens when the other person does not know much but does not acknowledge that fact. When that occurs helping them is difficult. I would love to help but have things to do for which i cant delay. Hence help might be late. There is always a diff source to ask.

Gyan Time [Forwards]

Excerpt from the Speech given by Chetan Bhagat at Symbiosis.

Life is one of those races in nursery school where you have to run with a marble in a spoon kept in your mouth. If the marble falls, there is no point coming first. Same with life, where health and relationships are the marble. Your striving is only worth it if there is harmony in your life. Else, you may achieve the success, but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive, will start to die.

One thing about nurturing the spark – don’t take life seriously. Life is not to be taken seriously, as we are really temporary here. We are like a pre-paid card with limited validity. If we are lucky, we may last another 50 years. And 50 years is just 2,500 weekends.Do we really need to get so worked up? It’s ok, bunk a few classes, goof up a few interviews, fall in love. We are people, not programmed devices.

Start Enjoying from this moment……
