Assume.

They say assumption is the mother of all fuck-ups. How well i know that. I made an assumptions a few days back which setting up something on the server. As luck has it, no body went to test out the same. As it happens the very thing got trigered in produciton and it failed.

The man above looks after me a lot so the hit isnt much but still gonna get quite a whack from powers to be. It was a rookie mistake and not really expected of me. When a process needs to be followed, you need to follow it. It may not be best. Hell it may be restrictive, it is but it saves times like these.

Anyways, enuf of today brand new disasterpiece tomorrow

It is said that 20 percent of the reasons cause 80 percent of issues. In my line of work it is said that 80% of the defects/bugs are cauzed by 20% of the errors.

A lot of the errors at the my workplace under my watch have been mostly due to ne part..assumption or pure stupidity on my part

Friday Nite…love the fridays,

Went to an old friends place, it been ages since i went over there. Aunty was like, is this the same person who i think it was. I thought she would slap me for not coming over there for such a long time. Lol. Anyways with all the small around we started drinking and out came all the talks. Am sure my friends wife came to know of a lot of info, so i guess he may have to sleep on the couch a few times as well but its cool.

The funny part was we were drinking standard 60 ml shots of vodka but in small whiskey glasses so more alcohol to sprite..combo…which is good to taste but bad for the head… Post dinner at papa johns …which is bakwas imho didnt like it a bit. who gives so less chicken on the pizza…..

Coming home post that was something…had to just crash @ home…there was no other way…

Long day at work

Got to work post a week’s break had my exams actually. Am tired of exams. Its not like i have a choice though. Another 6 months well technically should be over, but who knows. I can fuck up anytime. Got i history of doing that.

checked my email around 250 of them. Lower than usual for a week off thing. The irony was that i didnt check my holidays. So when i tried to sign in it says dude you dont need to sign cuz your on holiday wtf.sent a mail to hr.

i wonder if i can have a back up. But i saw people askin how to do it before checkin it out. I pride my self on that. I like wantin more when its a new system to learn. I feel like a kid. What does this do and what does this do

Nostalgic abt tv.

was watching zee english and this small slot for x-files. in the 30 second ad…gillian anderson looked so different as she looks now, and then was like, dude, its like 10 years since that series was screened.

was thinking abt the time when we had to cable. But the things came on DD metro. Well just tried to put down a list of shows that i grew up liking.

Pod Back

Well i got my pod back. I had loaded rockbox and alternative shell on my pod, didnt like it but somewhere it all went kaput on my pod.

someone by reading the faqs on installing and uninstalling, wonder why i read them half….i found this sw introduces dual boots meaning i can boot my old pod as well….and voila…it worked…
